3/4 pound butter, chilled, cut in small pieces
3 1/2 cups flour
1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated fine
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

With hands, mix together all ingredients. Roll into a rectangle. Cut into Gently place strips 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees, 10 to 12 minutes or lightly browned.
